yes... i realize my toes are in yet another picture... and my camera strap...
but LOOK at that face!!! classic!
so i have two little girls so its really important to be like REALLY extremely fair... one day my little blondie asked me to make her a cute skirt, she even picked the fabric out of my stash... it turned out super cute...
BUT somebody was a little bummed out because mommy only made one skirt for one kid... but mommy only had enough wide elastic for one tiny skirt...
LUCKILY....
i had a stretchy stripe-y belt in my stash... wide enough and bright and colorful.
i chopped the ends off the belt...
and whipped up this little beauty
there are SO many tutorials on this type of skirt the only change i really make is i like to double or triple the circumference of the skirt to make it extra yummy and twirly...
so go get those ugly, stretchy, unflattering belts ( that we know we shouldn't be wearing anyway)
and make a cute skirt!

First, your daughters are ADORABLE!! I love those skirts and what a great idea for the waistband! I laughed when you mentioned your toes and camera strap in yet another picture. I don't know how many pics I have with my toes too! Oh well...
ReplyDeleteLove them Selina!! Selina helped me make my first twril skirt for my daughter, and a doll dress! She is wonderful at all of this and has me hooked! xoxo
