a hairy sneak peak...

so, i told you guys i finally did something to my boring hair, 

{well actually my friend Sara did it}

we decided to figure out this "melting" technique where you blend the light color from the ends into the darker color at your roots... 

 but we decided lets also try puting a sort of ring of dark chocolate around my face and underneath to make the blond really pop.

 i love to experiment, its a total blast...

i get  a sort of rush from the excitement of it all... i used to do it all the time, but then i got lazy,

 not any more friends! im gonna try it all! 

in other fun news my gorgeous friend Sara {who is an amazing hairstylist} is totaly teaching me all of her tricks!!!!! she even let me give her an A-line bob!

YES. SHE. DID.

she is so incredibly cool! she just hands me her freaking scissors and says

"ok, so here is what you are going to do..."

 it turned out awesome {if i do say so myself} i will post a pic as soon as i can... i am like a proud momma, everytime i hear people tell her how great her hair looks i just beam like a total geek... 

next time i am gonna have her teach me this cut ....

How "not" to cut your own hair....

i am NOT a hair stylist, so don't try this at home... {unless you are crazy, like me}

i am sort of obsessed with going to Sally Beauty Supply and just buying random crap and trying it out... i am not a person that gets really attached to their hair so if i screw it up too badly i just deal with it... ya know, rock that pixie cut or bright red hair... or whatever happens... lately i have been just leaving my hair alone, not giving it any love...

lets change that.

 i love my razor... the entire point of a razor is to have sort of imperfect hair... totally my style

ready. set. GO.

just hack away until you're satisfied...

{seriously though, NOT a tutorial... please don't take me seriously for a minute... i really don't know what i'm doing}

lets be honest here, i am in NO way finished with my hack job... i just don't want to scare my sweet husband, a little bit at a time and one day he will wake up and be like

"when did you cut your hair?"

j/k he is totally in on it, he begged me to grow it so he is kind of attached to it... it will be less of a shock if i cut it off over a few weeks...

90% of the time I really don't like my hair...... 90% of the time I don't take time to do my hair.

hmmmm.... maybe there is a correlation between the two?

I actually took the time today...

 and it's not my hair it's my LAZINESS!

Isn't there a hair cut that I can get that just looks fabulous without any effort??

So, without knowing it I match my little lady to what I'm wearing...

Normally I don't put real clothes on until Eden's morning nap, then she wakes up and I put her in an outfit...

I don't mean to match our outfits but I guess I get a color scheme in my head.

My Mother in-law always notices and then I'm like, "Oh, yeah I guess we do kinda match." :)

 short blonde shaggy bob has been my go to hair off and on for the last 5 yrs

had a brunette moment and got my hands on a razor to make this look happen

i thought it was cool but i have a freaky little cowlick right on my hair line so bangs suck on me! about 2 mins after i style they just flip to the side and look dumb...

blonde with baby side swept bangs... cute but i live in humid MI so i practically had to flat iron twice a day!!! (always had great hair in Utah though)
