Zoe inspired....

i remember the moment i fell in love with Rachel Zoe...

she said, when referring to a pair of ridiculous earrings

"i. die. literally, just put those on me and put me in my grave right now..."

 my jaw dropped to the ground..

she. is. everything.

those exact words could have just as easily come out of my mouth...

i was hooked.

i rewound and watched that part half a dozen times, called Sophie, played it for her... died laughing...

the way she talks about beautiful clothes is so dramatic and up-surd, its sounds just like me!

fast forward to this last year, at least five different people on separate occasions have said that i remind them of her... so i say, "ya, i guess i kind of sound like her.." and they go "well ya, but you kind of look like her too!"

then i noticed my mouth and cheeks are in fact very "Zoe"...

...and, is it just me, or did she totally steal my "i worked harder than it looks" bed head hair?

{some people dont realize that it takes a long time to make it look like your hair just rolled out of bed, there is a lot of careful placement, teasing, spraying and flat ironing of certain specific pieces to make this magical crap happen!}

{ k, obviously i didn't invent my deconstructed hair...  

clearly Rachel is the mother of this boho styling...}

so off to work i went, all dressed in black, feeling very "Zoe" inspired

chunky gold accessories, flowy super wide leg pants, a boho braided belt, sky high wedges, messy wavy hair and a bold lip... i'm only missing my giant sunglasses, something fur, and a starbucks in my hand {soy hot cocoa of course}

i wonder if Rachel would approve?

i feel like i should spend some time channeling the Zoe... maybe outside of my work attire...

now i have a summer project! anyone else have a look-a-like or sound-a-like? i'm dying to hear about it!
