nail adventures....

oh the ridiculous fun my friend Sara and i had doing nails the other night with our girls... {when i say girls i mean hers plus mine which adds up to six and then the two of us!!}  we did everyones nails and then when we got to our own we got creative....

our husbands were completely teasing us because of the ridiculous amount of time we spent, not only perfecting our newly invented technique, but gawking over just how cool we thought it looked...

"we are so awesome" we said to eachother, "look how cool!"

its cool alright, you just need a couple hours to make it happen...

which i feel, is totally worth it! especially when women come up and ask you where the heck you got your cool nail stickers....

Ulta, Sinful Colors, Studio M, Art{something} and Essie

-base coat

-2 coats of your bottom color {a deep shade}

-streak squiggly zebra lines with a light opaque shade

-drag squiggles of a slightly darker shade next to some of the light squiggles

-top coat

DONE

{2 hours later}

tip {if you dare waste as much time as we did}

we took a baby wipe and cleaned off the nail art brush to do the squiggles in other colors just be sure to cover the top of the open polish and wrap the brush you aren't using in another wipe, or damp paper towel so it doesnt get all crunchy...

in other news... Sara hacked into my hair yesterday and i love it!

its like 80's punk rock meets modern long shag... the hair of my dreams! messy and yet still styled...

PS... Sophie has had a few pretty good days in a row... i feel like she is on her way out....please keep her in your prayers... i am going to see her in a couple of weeks  and i cant wait!
