It was so much fun to help get Elise ready for prom. She looked beautiful and don't worry guys it only took 5 hours... truth! We did the works and even put in false lashes (although i would give my right arm to have natural lashes like this girl). This entire ensemble was a sisters collaboration because sister (#3 Olivia) sent Elise a lovely package that contained coordinating nail polish, earrings, rings, and the coveted shoes!
We decided that Olivia has this sixth sense... she KNOWS what each of us would love. She really has gift giving down to an art.
Elise had a great time. Here is she and our mom doing the "daddy daughter dance".
SISTERS!
Love you Elise.

She looks gorgeous- absolutely gorgeous, but I've got to say I'm really disappointed the dress is so immodest.
ReplyDeleteThanks big sister Soph. Elise was so happy to be spoiled by a "real live stylist" I love to watch my daughters take care of each other. I'm feeling the love and soaking up the JOY!!! Love Mom
ReplyDeleteGrowing up we had some squabbles but for the most part we get along great. We dealt with some pretty heavy stuff in our child hood/ young adulthood that just bonded us together in a crazy close way.

Hey girl, thanks for your comment and for bring nice about the fact that her dress is immodest. As a big sister with a belief in the importance of modesty I can say I was a bit disappointed too. My mom raised us to make our own decisions about modesty and I can truthfully say when I was Elise's age I had a very strong testimony but my understanding of why we dress and teach modesty in the church was limited. My testimony of it really grew over time as I began to understand the divine way God views and values women. Selina and I are the main authors of the blog and we both totally support modest dressing. Thanks for reading and for having the courage to state your disappointment. I hope you can understand that Elise is much like I was at her age and we hope you can still turn to our blog for great modest inspiration.
