more, dance/workout/wear out wear for you...
i really did wear this top to teach a jazz class and let me just say it was comfy and cute my 2 requirements for dance wear...
then i wore it later that day with jeans and booties... my clothes need to be able to multi-task
want to see how i did this NO-SEW creation?
get a sweatshirt..
line up the side seams and fold
mark a notch in the front where you want to crop it
and then again in the back 3 inches lower
cut from notch to notch
it should look like this
now cut the wrist bands off
measure 8 inches up and snip in 2 inches
snip 2inches in every inch till you getto the bottom
snip the strips open along the edge
stretch the strips
tie the ends together and snip into them to create a fringy look
all done... cute and simple... now we can work out in style! ok. maybe i wont work out in these shoes... but wouldn't it be fun if you could work out in heels?! does power clearance shopping count?
Just a few bloopers to brighten your day
falling down the stairs..
can you hear me saying "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!"
those blurry things are my arms flailing...
now you try! dont forget to send us a pic or a link!

OOOh, this looks so fun, and I love when it doesn't involve sewing! :) I am going to have to try this one out, and your no-sew sweatshirt vest
ReplyDeleteThat is smokin'. And I don't use that word lightly. I'm excited to try this one out!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is really creative and cute too! Love the bloopers. :)
ReplyDeleteI just did a sweatshirt DIY last night! Literally. Not because I'm clever but because I totally look like an American APparel model without paying the $48!
ReplyDeleteYOur method is way more "classy" than mine. I just cut the neck and wrist bands off while watching Housewives of Atlanta...which meant everything is crooked and eraggedy looking!
Thanks for your kind words on my blog...I'm totally a hot mess!
*sorry...I meant to say that I WANTED to look like an American Apparel model without paying the $48*
ReplyDeleteThe English teacher in me made me want to correct that!
